When does "just having a good time" turn into alcoholism?

Good question...: Ask yourself some key questions: have you ever felt you needed to cut down on your drinking? Have people annoyed you by criticizing your drinking? Have you ever felt guilty about drinking? Have you ever felt you needed a drink first thing in the morning (eye-opener) to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover? Answering yes to one of these questions may indicate alcoholism.

Impairment: Drug and alcohol addiction has to do with impairment. Many drink socially, most do not suffer from problems. If a person develops legal, family or work related problems due to substances, that is how things go from good to bad to worse. Do you have to become intoxicated to have a good time?
