A member asked:

Why can't the lung regenerate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lung: The only organs in the body that can regenerate are blood and skin. There are some organs parts of which can regenerate. Examples include lung, intestine ; liver. The cells lining the bronchi and the alveoli of lungs can regenerate. Alveoli are the tiny bubbles at the end of the bronchioles that participate in gas exchange. There are some organs such as brain and spinal cord which never regenerate.
