Which one is better ampicillin or amoxicillin?

Neither: Ampicillin and Amoxicillin have an identical bacterial spectrum of activity. Amoxicillin is absorbed better than Ampicillin when they are given by mouth. Ampicillin can be given in higher doses IV while Amoxicillin can only be given orally.
