A member asked:

Is it normal to have a lump over your throat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends.: This might indicate something going on like tonsillitis, etc. It can be something you are born with, like thyroglossal duct cyst that can be removed. A lump/mass may also be a sign of cancer, but other things/symptoms are present. One must note that these cancers are in people over 50 and those who use a lot of alcohol and tobacco, including smokeless.
