OTC Medications:: There are about 400 different 'over the counter' medications for fever, cold, cough. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a fever reducer, somatic pain reliever. Dose: 10-15 mg/kg/dose, 4-6 hours, for fever 101 f or above. Some cold/cough meds contain Acetaminophen also, so there is possibility of overdosing. Many cold meds has Pseudoephedrine which increases heart rate. So, be careful not to overdose!
