Codeine no stimulan: Codeine is not a stimulant. It is an opioid drug that is converted to morphine in the body to give Codeine it's pain-relieving action. Codeine is more sedating than stimulating, but like some stimulants it can cause restlessness at night, interfere with sleep, cause stomach pains ; constipation, and decease appetite. Aside from these side effects, Codeine has nothing in common with stimulants.
