Yes and no: The cause of most mono is the eb virus and it should give you lifelong immunity. Between 5-10% of mono is caused by a collection of othe agents (cmv, toxoplasma gondii, hepatitis, adenovirus). Immunity to one form of mono does not protect you from the others.
