If you indeed ...: Have a foreign body lodged in your esophagus (swallowing tube), you need to be seen urgently for esophagoscopy (scoping the swallowing tube) to remove the foreign body. Otherwise, you would be unable to swallow and/or have risk of significant injury to your esophagus.
