Burping: ... Can be a symptom of Gerd. If it is happening frequently, I would consider trying antacids such as Tums (calcium carbonate) initially. If you're having to take them frequently, then I would see your doctor to consider a trial of medication. In the meantime, avoid anything that you notice brings on your symptoms. Alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, tomatoes, onions, and orange juice are frequent culprits. Good luck.
