Cough and PND: Hello, yes dehydration is a common cause of throat irritation from less moisture in the saliva coating of the throat. This could trigger a cough and throat tickle. Common causes of dehydration would be sleep disorders, dryness due to medications, sjogren's disease and lack of water intake. So drink more water, sleep with a humidifier, use a saline nasal mist and see your doctor if no better.
