Possibly: One the hallmarks of opioid withdrawal is higher blood pressure than while on the vicodin. This can lead to all sorts of problems therefore blood pressure medicines like amlodipine or Clonidine are often used to help with this part of the withdrawal symptoms.

While clonidine may help MANY of the symptoms and signs of opioid withdrawal, amlodapine will not. Blood pressure elevation in opioid withdrawal is usually minimal or mild, and rarely causes any symptoms or problems. See an addiction medicine specialist for help, both with the physical AND psychological issues related to your use of vicodin and its withdrawal.
