A member asked:

Blood in semen after umbilical hernia surgery, should i be concerned?

No connection : There is no connection from the vas deferens (carries semen) and the umbilicus. If it persists, may need to see a urologist. You should call your surgeon anyway to discuss the issue. Hope this helps.

Should not be : Related to the surgery, unless you needed a Foley catheter. There is something else likely going on and you should see a urologist.
