Zithromax shelf life: Aluminium/PVC blister strips in carton boxes: 60 months. Polythene capsule container with child resistant cap: 48 months. A single dose of oral azithromycin 250 mg will remain in the body for 2-4 days. A typical 5 day course (Z-pak) is effective for 10 days.
