Not reality: Medical personnel on tv (and movies) are projecting an image which is not necessarily reality. Actors want to be seen in an individualized way that can lead to further acting work and an identity recognized by the public. Nice hair, body jewelry, even tattoos can project that image. Unfortunately the image of the invincible physician has created a climate for malpractice for actual doctors.
