Allergic reaction: Most likely problem for sudden painless swelling of conjunctiva with itching is an immediate allergic hypersensitivity reaction. Can be rx'd with otc zaditor (ketotifen) for eye allergy. If sx's persist or if visual loss or pain, you should seek out urgent eye care physician to assess.
