Can or should ?: You can take poison, but I wouldn't advise it. Anytime someone with celiac disease consumes wheat, their body generates NEW antibodies to various wheat proteins that attack their gut tissue causing injury. This starts out as spotty injury and gets worse with time and any new exposures. Avoid wheat (gluten) and the antibody level declines so the body can heal.
