TNTC: If you are referring to a urine analysis that says pus cells "too numerous to count" if usually indicates urinary infection. A urine culture will document the type of infection and the correct antibiotic to use. Sometimes antibiotic is prescribed empirically without a culture in the interest of time and cost.
