Presence at delivery: Giving birth is a miracle and some cultures allow family members to be present during the delivery of the baby in order to celebrate this experience. The expectant mother can actually benefit from the moral support that her family provides. The family members are not actually helping the obstetrician deliver the baby. They stand opposite to the doctor to provide comfort to the expectant mom.
