get hypothyroid: If you were on the synthroid (thyroxine) for hypothyroidism, then stopping will make you feel quite sluggish and ill in about 1 week. If you never needed the synthroid (thyroxine) in the first place, then your thyroid will likely kick in quickly and you will not notice any change.
