Post hysterectomy: Sometimes we performed what is called a partial hysterectomy, meaning some remains of the cervix are still present. This can cause bleeding after a hysterectomy. Your obgyn should examine you to rule out bleeding from the urethra, vagina or from the rectum (ie hemorrhoids etc). You can also ask your obgyn to remove the remaining cervix or to explain to you the medical alternatives you have.
