A member asked:

Does blood pressure go up when hands are cold?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

yes: Try this little experiment: measure your bp. Now stick your hands in a vat of ice water and hold them there for 10 minutes. Now check your BP again. Voila! (this is called the "cold-pressor" reaction). (aside: it works if you stick your face in the water too!).
