What is the hardest thing baby doctors have to do?

Give bad news.: Communicating bad news is perhaps the hardest thing i find in pediatrics. One can never estimate the impact of bad news until you determine a person's expectation or understanding. It is sometimes difficult to disclose "the truth" without coming across insensitive. It is also difficult to discuss "end of life care" or "organ donation" when a patient's case remains unfavorable/futile.

Abuse of children &: Infants have been the most horrific events I have experienced as a pediatrician. How a parent or caregiver could harm an innocent infant or child is beyond me.
