A member asked:

I'm 40 weeks pregnant, i woke up with awful stomach pain, nausea, and a headache could i be going into labor? should i call my doctor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You'll know...: The difference between typical stomach pain and labor contractions is the latter comes and goes, feels like a muscular tightening that lasts 30-60 seconds, and then goes away. If you're having these kinds of pains, congrats, it could be early labor! you can watch, however, to make sure the pains are regular and are slowly getting worse (stronger or more frequent). One other thought...(below)...
