Level 2 ultrasound: A level 2 ultrasound is a detailed examination by ultrasound of the structures of the developing fetus. It examines the fetal heart, abdomen, central nervous system, arms and legs.It also looks at the placental position, amniotic fluid, and sometimes includes a cervical length measurement.
