Not likely: The negative pregnancy test means you're not likely to be pregnant. May be a good idea to wait a week and then do another test. Some women have extremely light, to non-existent periods while on birth control, and this may be what is happening to you. Cramps but no significant bleeding as the period. Talk to your doctor about whether or not to change pills.
