I recently started getting a burning sensation in my stomach whenever i drink alcohol. sometimes mild pain radiates to my sides. any idea what it is?

Could be: Gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining), can even be a start of ulcer. Pancreatitis is also one side effect if somebody drinks too much. Pls see your dr for evaluation. Also if alcohol is causing this problem, better to stop drinking it. Take care.
