Having tonsillitis once every 2/3 months. don't want surgery cause scare of pain. does frequent tonsillitis affect the body in anyway in the long term?

Not really,: Why put up with taking antibiotics so frequently when surgery will fix this. Yes there is some post op pain but it will be worth the 2 weeks versus continued antibiotics perscriptions. Ment so frequently.

Yes, antibiotics: Will become ineffective eventually. And you might get airway obstruction or abscess formation. Follow your doctor's advice. Tonsillectomy should be no more painful than another bout of bad tonsillitis.
