There is hope: This is a very common complaint. Allergies may be a factor. Smoking, some occupations also could play a role. The problem generally is a chronic irritation of the tissues behind the nasal cavities and/or sinuses. A good exam by your doctor to rule out other problems is recommended. Typical initial treatment include nasal steroids and good twice daily saline nasal irrigations.
