What is colon malignancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Type of cancer: The most common colon malignancy is an adenocarcinoma. These usually arise from a pre-existing polyp called an adenoma. These tumors require surgical resection and possibly further treatment depending on the stage of the tumor which depends on depth of invasion as well as lymph node status and whether or not there is a metastasis.
