Water: Increasing your water intake is the best way to help prevent a urinary tract infection. It is also a great way to help fight off an early urinary tract infection. Some studies have shown that drinking cranberry may help with uti's as well.

Cranberry juice: First make sure you don't have a UTI or std, by urine test. Cranberry juice or extract can help in preventing utis, but to treat them. Also drink [plenty of water and try to avoid witholding urination when bladder begins to feel full.
