Dr. Uma Swamy answered

Primary Omentum?: Do you mean a cancer that started in the peritoneum (omentum) or a cancer that has traveled to the omenum. Primary peritoneal cancer is rarer than cancers traveling to the omentum. Generally cancers that have traveled (metastases) to the omentum tends to have a poor survival rate. The survival rate will depend on type of cancer, how much of it is there and how its responding to treatment.
