Loose stools: You can get loose stools if your salad is contaminated. Also since salad is full of fiber, it can lead to loose stools.

See your doctor: If you have chronically loose stools you could have a chronic bowel problem (inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease or irritable bowel syndrome) which may be treated. You should see your doctor for further evaluation. Generally you should avoid dairy, salads, artifical sweetners and fruits. Starches (pasta, potatoes, rice) are helpful. Occasionally a fiber suppliment may be helpful as well.

Lots of causes: First define the problem (do you have soft or frequent stool?), circumstances under which diarrhea developed (malabsorption, pancreatic maldigestion, food intolerances, stressful times, exposure to ill individuals, food poisoning, ischemic gut, inflammatory colitis, etc.), severity (stool volume, dehydration, blood, night-time awakening, weight loss), & duration. The "cure" depends on diagnosis.

YES: Salad is uncooked vegetable with high fiber. It draws fluid from the intestinal wall into the lumen. Sometimes too much salad intake can cause diarrhea, and you would see undigested salad in the stool.
