Won't come back: Separation anxiety is a term we use for babies starting ~6-9 mo when the realize that mom or dad is their primary source of comfort & care. At that age, when separated, they don't understand that mom or dad don't vanish forever when the go out of sight. By 2y most babies understand & anxiety drops.I'd call your issue" morning the loss of companionship".

Separation anxiety: Sounds like you are having anxiety about your relationship with your girlfriend. This could be considered a form of separation anxiety. Might benefit from couples counseling.
