Not yet: So far the only fda approved therapy for ALS is Riluzole but this only gives about seven months of symptomatic respite before progression again resumes.

Not yet: ALS has been a very difficult disease to control, and sole medication approved by FDA remains Riluzole. Although research proceeds, breakthroughs are tough to find.
