No it does NOT: Lead to cancer, but it can lead to infertility, weight gain, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc. Many of which are associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Eat less, exercise more, lose weight and talk w/your doctor about metformin therapy.
