Probably not. : If the piece of pencil lead was swallowed you have nothing to worry about. If you feel it is still in your throat or it went into your windpipe, then you need to see a physician.

Maybe: If someone swallows anything sharp, such as pencil "lead", there is a chance of perforating the esophagus or creating an injury that can get infected. If you are having pain or difficulty swallowing, you should definitely go to the emergency room to find out whether you have a serious problem.

Maybe: If she can drink some fluids , the action will pull it down into her stomach where it will eventually move through her system without problems.If she cannot drink any fluids, it is time to take her to the ER so they can set her up to have it removed from above using an endoscope.She would likely be put to sleep for the procedure but I don't consider it surgery.Nothing is cut.
