Technically, yes...: A person can die with fever, and he can die without fever. Fever is not believed to cause death nor save one from death. Fever is part of another illness, or the result of another illness, and it is that other illness that can cause death in some cases.

The fever: Alone is unlikely to cause death but if high enough could lead to a seizure where a person can aspirate and die from that. Also what ever is causing a fever can lead to other life threatening complications like sepsis ...
