Severe Dengue: Who states dengue fever can present with high fevers (i.e. 104 f) accompanied by muscle / joint pain, severe headches, pain behind eyes, nausea, vomiting, swollen glands & rash. Severe dengue can cause drop in body temperature, bloody gums or vomitus, severe abdominal pain, difficulty breathing & restlessness. Death rates with severe dengue drop from more than 20% to less than 1% with right tx.
