OK if done well: Any procedure like this can cause problems. With waxing, the potential problems are burning of the skin, scarring, minor infections because of the trauma to the skin or serious infections because the tools used are not properly cleaned. Your aesthetist should wear gloves and test the wax on his/her wrist before applying. Ask them how they sterilize equipment. Use common sense.
