Yes ; no: Shortness of breath really refers to your lung function or your sensation of breathing. So even if your turbinates are obstructing, you should still be able to breathe easily thru your mouth and not be short of breath that way. However, if you're still short of breath when breathing thru your mouth, then turbinates definitely aren't the cause. So go see your family doc for an evaluation ; treatmen.

Turbinates: Yes, turbinates can cause nasal obstruction. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.
