None, unless...: Unless there are some good, human research studies that show there is a definite beneficial effect with monolaurin, there is no need to use it for herpes. Testimonials and marketing hype do not count as research. Since monolaurin is not a real, fda-approved medication, one cannot be sure about the products for sale (may vary in purity, additives, effects, side effects, etc...).
