Different therapies: It's tempting to compare acronyms -- but dialectical behavioral therapy (dbt) is completely different from erp (exposure ; response prevention), and is done for entirely different purposes. They are not interchangeable. Dbt combines mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. If someone needs these skills, dbt may help greatly. Ocd needs are different.
