It can be : Done at the office with IV sedation or at a surgical center under light anesthesia or IV sedation too. Talk to your gyn to coordinate care.

Sure : There is definitely a role for anesthesia to play. However, you may want to try taking pain medication before your next exam instead. If that doesn't work, have your doctor book an or for an exam under anesthesia.
