When you feel ready: The advantage of laparoscopic surgery of any kind, including gallbladder removal, is the speedier recovery compared to comparable open procedures for the same problem. My recommendation is, when your comfort level allows you to, you can resume normal activity, including sex. You may have some discomfort after the activity, but there are no incisions to heal, hence you can do no harm.
