You just went: Through a viral disease that is getting better but affected the vestibular portion of the eighth cranial nerve. Called vestibular neuronitis. It's a peripheral type of vertigo. Full recovery may take few weeks after viral syndrome ended. If associated with hearing problems is call labyrinthitis. Treatment is symptoms relief. Vestibular suppressants and antiemetic drugs.
