Mouth cancer: More information would be helpful in giving you a better answer. As with any cancer, the treatment and prognosis would depend upon the specific type, location, and stage. Smoking and alcohol are the two biggest risk factors. We recommend full head and neck soft tissue screening every six months with a qualified dentist. More details?: More details are needed. People are cured of small oral cancers all the time. What is important to know is the depth of invasion or the presence of metastatic disease to a lymph node. Even once the cancer has spread there may be some forms of therapy (usually radiation) that can be utilized. Many forms are treatable but simply not curable. Really depends of the stage and type of cancer.
