Possible infection: Lymph nodes are localized groups of white cells that are designed to attack foreign tissue, especially infections. When activated, there can be a burning sensation to the surrounding tissues. Ringing in the ear is a non specific symptom, but may be associated with inflammation and infection. Best to have this checked out.

Lymph node behind right ear has been swollen almost 3 years. Not painful to touch, no redness, and has no grown in size since that time. Part of it feels squishy, but part of it feels hard, the part that rests on jaw. Should I be concerned for cancer?
