Im on the iud and i got my period a week ago but i've been having cramps for 3 or 4 days after why is that ?

IUD: Cramps after insertion of an iud are a common side effect. If severe enough, the iud may actually be expelled. It might be a good idea to check the string to make sure the iud is still in place. Any significant pain should be evaluated to rule out the rare complication of uterine perforation.
