Had a bruised coccyx for a month, it now hurts when walking as well as sitting. i'm taking painkillers, is there anything else i can do to relieve it?

Coccydynia: Absolutely. I usually start with a simple caudal epidural steroid injection. Also i will have patients use a hemorrhoid pillow to keep pressure off the tailbone. Usually time will help resolve the situation although it may take 6 to 8 months.

An injection: Ganglion impar block decreases pain well in that area. See your local interventional pain management doctor. If it works and doesn't last, be prepared for a second injection / radio-frequency ablation would help it last. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/17876362/.
