A member asked:

My 14 month old daughter has small bumps starting at her foot and going up her left leg. i tried putting lotrimin (clotrimazole) on it, but it's not helping much.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not Lotrimin (clotrimazole): Lotrimin (clotrimazole) is an anti-fungal and what you are describing does not sound like a fungal infection to me, so the lotrimin (clotrimazole) probably won't help, as you have noted. If it is a contact dermatitis or other allergy, or a type of eczema, then steroid cream and removal of the offending agent would be the appropriate treatment. Get some otc cort-aid and see if that helps. If not, see doc for correct diagnosis.
